Thousands of Reports from Affected Users
According to Downdetector.com, over 5,000 users worldwide reported problems with the microblogging platform. Users faced difficulties loading timelines, sending posts, or even logging in.
X Confirms the Outage and Responds
The engineering team at X issued a statement via the official @XEng account on the platform:
“X is aware some of our users are experiencing performance issues on the platform today. We are experiencing a data center outage and the team is actively working to remediate the issue.”
As of the latest update, the issue was still being investigated, and no estimated time for full restoration has been provided.
